This is nothing more than animal abuse. A Doxie’s spine is very delicate especially when its get older and is obese. I don’t find any humor in this at all. It’s very sad that dog owner’s don’t know any better.
His previous owner had dementia which is how this poor dog’s weight got out of control. He has been adopted and his new owners are doing a wonderful job helping him lose the weight. I have two dachshunds, one has had back surgery, was never overweight and not that old. I say bravo for helping Obie!
