I love MDR. I had a wonderful representative, Rachel, the lady who did the home visit was very nice, the foster mom, Joan, was very helpful, and both my husband and myself adore our beautiful Abby. She has settled right in and is an angel.

    Thank you!!!!!

Yup I’m the self centered person because I wanted to HELP and couldn’t get even an acknoledgement. So sorry that I wanted to rescue a dog. I’m such a horrible person. That’s why I went to a rescue in Chicago and rescued a sweet dachshund that was found roaming the street. He found his forever home with us and couldn’t be happier.

Alison, we all know how much you and a few other key people do to keep this amazing group plugging along. I guess if more people volunteered and helped with the process instead of whining and complaining about their own needs, maybe there wouldn’t be as long of delays. If we are such a bad group you sure wouldn’t know it by the amount of people who came out last weekend to support us at our annual fundraiser (over 1,400 to be exact). I really wish the complainers would put all that wasted effort to a better use and HELP all of us who do spend lots of hours of our own time and lots of our own money fostering, transporting and fundraising. Just think, if half that effort was spent being supportive instead of focusing on themselves how much MORE we could accomplish. Then again, some people just want the attention and are too self centered to see beyond themselves and I wouldn’t want any one of our dogs with them anyway.

Harsh but true words. Maybe if they followed up and returned an email or a phone call there wouldn’t be a problem. We adopted a dachshund else where. Also don’t say they are all the same if there good ones that don’t bark or burrow. I am allowed to say what I want and express my opinions take itor leave it.

Wow, pretty harsh words for 3 women (1 in Indiana, 1 in Illinois and 1 in Wisconsin), who work full-time jobs, have families and still manage to adopt out almost one dog per day. I have volunteered my time and donated countless items for their fundraising efforts for the last 10 years, and will continue to do so as long as I am able.

It’s been over 5 weeks since we first contacted this rescue place and still they won’t reply to us. DO NOT ADOPT FROM THEM. I sense shady business going on here. Especially since they are across multiple states. No one responds to emails. No one calls back. Too worried about our Facebook page. And lets keep rescueing dogs and continue asking for people to pick them up. They won’t tell you what dogs they have available until you’re approved. Well 5 weeks and still know nothing. We’ve decided to go elsewhere and adopt from an organization that actually cares about their animals.

This place is the worst. They do not follow up with you. It has been over 2 weeks since the house visit and they will not respond to our facebook messages. They didn’t confirm a house visit time, the lady just showed up. This resuce organization is extremely unprofessional, and horrible with time management. They would rather keep posting pictures on their facebook page than to contact people to adopt their dog.
